- Site name: John Rogers, Artist, Wales
- Site description:Developed from my life' s works and my project From Africa to Iceland: A Visual Celtic Voyage published as a book in December 2007 and complemented by an exhibition at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth.
- Editors comment: I have chosen this painting, 'Tintagel and Merlin's Cave', because I am familiar with this area of Cornwall. John has captured the sheer wildness and rugged terrain perfectly. Make no mistake it is a long way down these cliffs and the artist has it right. John uses a style that is slightly reminiscent of J M W Turner and I like it.

- Site Name: Petportraits
- Site description: Animal portraits painted in pastel by professional artist. Specializing in animals .Commissioned work only.
- Site Update: Karen has a new site now so if you have book marked the old site you will need to add the new one and then use that, you know what I mean!.
- Editors comment: As an owner of a Border Collie and have been all of my life I am bound to choose a painting like this. 'Heidi' is beautiful, an excellent drawing is followed by a top class painting. All of Karen's paintings display this same attention to detail which is vital when drawing animals. Animals have long been the subject of artists the world over, some paint them okay, some brilliant, and a few just outstanding, this artist is of the latter, I recommend this site to any animal lover. More so if you love Collies...
If you have a treasured pet you may just need your credit card, Karen's prices are extremely keen, you have been warned.

- Site Name: Vision in Oils
- Site description: A selection of traditional Watercolour's & Acrylic paintings of the Yorkshire dales.
- Editors comment: I have chosen this painting because it is so 'clean' and almost quaint. The artist paints in a pleasant and easy going style that is probably liked by everyone who views it. If we take a closer look at this work we can see the clear blues and warm yellows, Colin uses extreme dark next to extreme light, that gives the work a 3D effect, lots of depth, not just with this work but all of the paintings on view. A mark of how good this technique works is the mere fact you would never have noticed had it not been pointed out. Excellent prices too.

- Site Name: West Wycombe Art Group
- Site description: The group meets on a Monday evening throughout the year in the Village Hall West Wycombe Bucks. For more information visit our site.
- Editors comment: As with all art groups I find that choosing 1 image from so many so difficult. I like the style of this artists work, John Ashton, immensely. The figures in this painting, 'The Market' are simply anonymous, what a refreshing change to the norm, whatever that is. The artist has given the work a focus leading the viewers eye in, to the centre, of the painting by using strong contrasting colour, going from one extreme to the other. Like I say, choosing one is difficult. All of the artists in this group paint to the same high standard and you should enjoy the work just as I have.

- Site Name Linda Travers Smith
- Site description: On my site you will find a many paintings, mostly in watercolour and some in acrylic, alongside collages. I hope that my love of all things natural comes through in my choice of subject.
- Editors comment: What a beautiful painting of this cat here, 'Perfect Camouflage' is the name and it sure is. The technical drawing of the animal is perfect, I also like the way Linda uses colour, it isn't over used or complicated, just enough. There are many paintings on the artists website and you may well find you spend some time there. Beautiful paintings by an extremely good artist.

- Site Name: Luke Maitland.com
- Site description: Colourist Luke Maitland is a versatile painter who enjoys working with an array of styles and media.
- Editors comment: Luke paints in a, what I call, a 'quaint' style, his work is unique without any doubt. The vivid reds in this painting are complimented by the cool blues of the road. The small amount of yellow draws the eye into the centre of the work, clever that. This shows how well thought out each work is, everything seems planned well in advance. A terrific style, I like Luke's work quite a bit, the quaint style alone counts for a lot. A first class artist, no doubt about it.

- Site Name: chrissy guest paintings
- Site description: Stunning landscapes and abstract paintings in oil and acrylic inspired by the Sussex Coast and Downland
- Editors comment: This artist paints with amazing passion, it is evident in all of the work that Chrissy gets 'inside' her subject. The mood of the weather, the wind, I mean I really could go on and on. The artists work gives me a sense of the atmosphere, so much. Her use of colour is extremely bold, strong brush strokes as well, I can imagine these paintings take an emotional toll in the sense of the sheer wanting and need to convey the subject. Wow, she can paint, all equal in feeling, excellent and I recommend you to take a look.
This painting is featured in the 'Brighton Festival'.

- Site Name: philsartworkforsale.co.uk
- Site description: Artist selling coloured pencil drawings.
- Editors comment: This drawing here is of the Three Cliffs in South Wales, The Gower to be exact. Having spent some time down there I can vouch for its quality, this is indeed what you see. The artist has created the illusion of distance very well, not having any foreground makes this type of work difficult. Phil has no problems though. A beautiful drawing. Just one of many I hasten to add.
